An investigation is underway in Massachusetts after a registered sex offender was reportedly found living in the same house as a daycare center after serving time for child assault and battery in 998.
A sex offender in Massachusetts was found to be living in the same home as a registered daycare center, raising questions over how the state tracks offenders, Fox affiliate WFXT reported.
Luray Richardson, who lives in Winchendon, Mass., is a registered sex offender in Florida, where he once lived. According to the state of Florida’s sex offender website, Richardson was convicted in 1998 in Massachusetts of indecent assault and battery on a child.
But there is no information about Richardson on the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board website, according to the station, and property records show he owns a home at the same address where J & L Daycare and Preschool is registered with the Secretary of State’s Office.
The report also claimed that the daycare center was possible unlicensed, which could be the reason why this man was allowed to live there in the first place. Sounds like there are still a few holes in this story for sure…
